I don’t know how it can be done but if I were God I would be able to separate the Jihadists and political Islamists from those who want to live in peace with non-Islamic people. But it will take something I have yet to see, those who are willing to live in peace taking on the jihadist +. It would be morally correct but I am not sure it is possible.
Right. There is no longer any choice. Radical Islamists and their supporters need to be denied entry and, if already here in the West, legally deported. The creeping Islamisation of the West must be rolled back. I hope that Moderate Muslims will support this effort.
A lesson we all gotta larn... when I wuz growin' up we had "civics" in skool--all 'bout doin' yer civic duty how ya could--gettin' on committees, makin' things better... t'day's kids don't have this... they don't appreciate any freedoms we got nor know how fragile they are! (I've tried ta teach mah own that civic duty IS important but mah take is considered..."outlier" 'er antiquated even)..
BTW, the good fight in Iran is (imho) a fight that started with the laydeez--yup, a women's movement as ultimately livin' under such tyrrany "broke" the dyke (notta pun!...I'm meanin' the old fashioned term tho' guess the modern one applies too lol)--an' the sea of protest flowed in...freedom ain't just a slogan there...
bless all the brave people of Iran...an' "remember the ladies!"
The current misuse of the terms “Muslim” and “Islamist”, are identical to the misuse of “Jew”and “Zionist”, as used by the media. For those of you in Rio Linda, the latter two are my personal pronouns.
This was a great objective and personal take on the issue. One thing you forget to add is that they don't have the same moral values as you believe you have, as to them, whatever they do is justified cuz they're doing it for their faith. So in their mind, whatever evil or bad-faith interpretation is always justified to them.
I'm planning to write something similar about this issue, mainly about what's going on in Persia right now. Have a great day, whoever is reading this.
Well written. The only, very small, quibble I have would be:
Authoritarianism is a recurring theme throughout human societies. Theocracy is just a particular flavor of it, whether it be islamic, christian, hindu, etc.
Dear Mazelit, please post more. enough said.
Thank you!

The jihadist must be suppressed and eliminated.

I appreciate your reasoning and succinct points. Thank you.
THIS! "Freedom requires constant vigilance."

Indeed; I dislike both.
